Design Process

in

The Akiosu design process is built upon proven industry standards and designed around a central core theme: to effectively communicate and collaborate with you, the client, and to develop a website that not only meets but exceeds your expectations.

The design process can be intimidating for new clients, so it is broken down into a few simple to understand steps. Our experience with small businesses also helps our project managers guide you through the process of developing a new website even if it’s the first one for your business. The incremental, hassle-free, design process is detailed below.

Design/Consultation

The first step is to meet with you, the client, and go over your list of requirements and review your vision for the website. After this list of requirements is compiled, and after we give our feedback, we will begin designing wireframes and graphical styles that meet your needs. Read more and download preliminary forms...

Wireframes/Grayscreens

The wireframe design process allows us to effectively develop a website with the navigation, features, and user interactivity that you are looking for. Wireframes are electronic visual representations of how your website will be structured and how the user will interact with it. These wireframes are intentionally made without any graphics, icons, or other visual items that can get distract from the purpose of this step: user interactivity and content layout. Read more...

Graphic Design

For websites that require custom graphics to be designed (such as a new web development or re-design), the next step after the wireframes have been approved is to develop a visual style that embodies your company’s identity. This includes creating and placing logos and other graphical elements into the appropriate parts of the wireframes, changing the background, adding relevant icons and essentially making the website look nice.

Development

If any advanced programming is needed for the features of the website, the final step is to develop these features and finally create a fully-working website. This final step brings together the Wireframes and the Graphic Design as well as any custom programming to deliver a website that will hopefully exceed your expections.

Delivery/Completion

After all of the above steps are completed, the website will be moved by our engineers to your hosting server. You new website will be tested one more time to ensure that it works properly on your server and then it will go live. Congratulations, you now have a great new website!
